Most of the work is in the planning
Transporting everything is the easy task. The planning is the hard and most important part. We like to start planning at least 6 weeks in advance because the things that are most likely to go wrong are the things that are either unaccounted for or reserved last minute. We anticipate everything, from lifts at the new building to broadband that requires a months’ advance reservation and a parking suspension that must be requested weeks in advance. We do this well in advance of the packing.
We will do a walk through of both locations and identify what will be moved and what will be new, and create a plan for the moving order and the day. You have one contact, not a different person every time you call.
The most concerning aspect of a company move for many is the technology. We always suggest that a final backup is made and then verifies before severing the connection. Such a habit has saved many moves and is even better than the most expensive packing technology. We will minimise the amount of time that your offices and staff are disconnected from server and workstations, and we will help you to prioritise the order in which essential equipment becomes operational. This will help you to get telephones and personal computers operational before the office is fully functional.
We offer packing services and many of our clients find this preferable and less expensive than letting staff pack their own equipment. All of our clients’ fragile and expensive equipment is given extra protection during transit, and everything is labeled.
